Maintenance Checklist for Motor Graders

19 January 2015

Safety guidelines and maintenance checklist for Motor Graders.

Manufacturers install safety devices and controls to ensure easy and safe use of their machines. Only well trained operators should use the equipment and bare in mind that scheduled maintenance checks should always be run along with daily checklist before use.

Other key points to remember when carrying out preventative safety checks are never to oil, grease or adjust the machines whilst the engine is running and to disconnect the battery strap before performing any maintenance as this will avoid possible hazards such as explosions and fires.

Take note of machine serial numbers as these will allow you to order replacement parts for your machine correctly and confidently. Apply serial number stickers to your machine so that operators are aware of the make and model. Technical specifications from the manufacturer should always be referred to during use of your machine and during maintenance checks
